    Boiler in Orhei will run on bio fuel

    The boiler from town Orhei will switch from natural gas to renewable fuel, said leaders of the project from this locality. The European Commission allocated one million euros for energy efficiency in Orhei, Mesager reports.Holiday dedicated to Sustainable Energy Week is held in Orhei.     Meanwhile, adults have big plans for energy efficiency in the locality. Project managers in the field say they want to retool the thermal plant in the town. It will be refurbished to become more economical. For this, it will switch from natural gas  to the pellet and briquette.
     
    "The current plant operating on natural gas, will switch to biomass and will produce both heat and thermal energy for sale", says Ruslan Surugiu Chairman of the Association Proenergy.
     
    The European Commission has allocated one million euros for this project, that requires changing the windows and doors in apartment buildings.
     
    "I am happy to be here in Orhei. During the European Sustainable Energy Week,  all people in the world promote this idea - a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy future", says Alexander Rass, representative of EU Delegation in the Republic of Moldova.
     
    Energy efficiency project will last two and half years.
